Hazmat is a company where service and safety go hand and hand. We have a 24 hour 7days a week spill response team complete with personnel and equipment to clean up oil spills and chemical spills, confined space spills, tank cleaning, and transfer your cargo after a wreck. All Big D hazmat team members have a minimum of 40hrs of hazmat training and certification from OSHA. Many of Big D Hazmat's members are career Fire Fighters with full credentials; such as, EMT, Paramedic, Master Fire Fighter, Fire Instructor, Emergency Care Attendant and many other hours in training.

Big D Hazmat operates several rapid response units including a 36-foot trailer that allows a crew of 8 to function for 6 hours without relief. This state of the art command center is equipped with drinking water, first aid kits, air conditioning and fully encapsulating suits with SCBA's equipped for 6hours, and a Cascade Breathing air system for recharging the 5 Scott Air-Packs that are stationed on board. We are fully equipped to handle all chemical spills or events requiring emergency assistance by a private party or governmental agency including all IDLH chemical spills.
